First read this: http://tinyurl.com/yfu9yg

Now if you aren't outraged go to a different blog!

After one of my friends read the above article she contacted Delta Airlines who partners with FreedomAir on the flight in question about their breastfeeding policy. They told her over the phone that the policy is that a mother may breastfeed her child if she does so "discreetly" and that judgement is left up to the flight attendents. UGH! Who has the right to decide if I am being discreet or not when I am feeding my child? Who I ask you who? The answer? ME!!!!

Currently a midwife I know is awaiting a written response containing Delta's offcial policy on breastfeeding during their flights. Once we have that I will post here and I will post a place where all of you can contact them and let them know what you think.

Let's not forget in a previous post I listed all the laws that are currently in affect for protecting a woman's right to feed her child. With that in mind remember that the state where the flight originates has jurisdiction over that flight with reguards to laws. So if any flight originates in a state protecting the woman's right to breastfeed then NO entity can limit that right without breatking the law.

Is it just me or will all of you be glad when this fight is over?

It's the first official leaf fight of Fall 2006! Not sure who won, but they sure did have fun. We have a giant oak next door that I am sure is going to completely fill our little back yard, so this is but the first of many many leafy moments for the Millers.

So I originally created this blog for my knitting projects, and I have as of yet no projects up here. Well I have been working on a bunch of different things, and once I am back home (still in the hospital as of now) with my camera I am going to try to put up my most recent things. I finished the Clapotis from Knitty out of Lion Brand Incredible in Copper Penny. I made it longer and skinnier that the original pattern called for since I like my scarves a bit thinner but it is still wide enough to use as a wrap too.

I am working on braided cable socks for Lily from the Summer 05 issue of Interweave Knits. They are my first real attempt at socks and while the cable is a bit wonky on the first of the pair I think the second one will be nice. I am making them out of Paton's Grace in the lavendar multi. which by the way is one of my favorite yarns. It's incredibly soft.

I am still looking for the perfect blanket pattern for my sister's baby, which by the way the ultrasound says she's having a boy! I am considering designing my own pattern for her, something in cables I think.

I also need to make hats for 4 of my preggo friends! That should be enough to keep me busy. Oh and I want to make the flirty skirty for one of the babies on the way.
